About Pippa...
Pippa is a musical artist and professional musician for hire, based out of Vancouver, Canada. She works as an Artistic Director, Choral Conductor, Community Music Practitioner, Music Tutor, Singer, Violist, Arranger and Composer. Pippa is currently Artistic Director of Vox Panacea (a choir for treble voiced medical doctors), and Vocal Coach for Accent Music Studios and PoMo Arts. Pippa is in demand as a private vocal, violin, viola, piano and music theory tutor and retains a 100% student pass rate for Board exams, across the RCM, ABRSM and AMEB syllabi.
Born in South Wales, Pippa grew up in and around Manchester, England. She won scholarships to attend Chetham's School of Music as a Statutory Chorister at Manchester Cathedral and was subsequently a junior at the Royal Northern College of Music. Pippa graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music from The University of Salford in 2009 and an MA in Composition from Leeds Conservatoire in 2011. After moving to Melbourne, Australia, in 2013, Pippa founded community choir Beyond The Bathroom and continued to work with them as their Artistic Director from 2013-19. In 2016, Pippa oversaw the incorporation of Beyond The Bathroom Choir as a Community Association, in which form it continues to thrive and create joyful music.
In recent years, Pippa has worked as Artistic Director of Salt Spring Chamber Orchestra & Choir (Guest), Murray Concert Choir, Murray Conservatorium Vocal Consort and Beyond The Bathroom Choir. Previous long term Choral Conducting and Vocal Coaching engagements include Music Gallery Academy, Murray Conservatorium, Australian Children's Choir, Melbourne Children’s Choir, Outer Urban Projects, Railway Neighbourhood House Choir, Creativity Australia, Manchester Communication Academy, The Greater Manchester Music Hub and Simply Singing.
Pippa was an Artist in Residence at The Dunmoochin Foundation in Victoria, Australia, from 2016-18. She has had many commissions as a choral arranger and arranged and composed Beyond The Bathroom Choir's output during 2013-19. Pippa's writing credits include contributing writer for Frameworks' 'Vanish' E.P. and 'Tides' L.P., released by First Word Records.
Previous long term performance commitments include Phoenix Chamber Choir, Australian Chamber Choir, Animata String Quartet, Manchester Chamber Choir, The Voice Collective, The Manchester Consort, St Endellion Festival Chorus, Rees Andrew Acoustic and the Southdene String Quartet.
