Pippa has 15 years of teaching experience and has worked as a vocal coach for Riff's Music Academy, choir development company Simply Singing, Manchester Communication Academy, Bolton Music Service andThe Salford Music and Performing Arts Service. She is qualified to Grade 8 in each subject she teaches and holds a B.A. Music and M.A. Composition. Pippa is currently working within industry as a singer and arranger and is passionate about passing on her love of music through teaching!
Pippa maintains consistent professional development to make sure she is up to date with the latest developments and research in the subjects she teaches. She is also a member of the British Voice Association and regularly attends events and conferences. Pippa is fascinated by all aspects vocal and specialises in teaching the 'tonally challenged' right through to advanced and professional singers.
Pippa also has years of training in and experience working as a violinist, viola player and pianist and offers tuition for the beginner to intermediate. Please see the rest of the website for more information about Pippa's work and the page dedicated to your subject area for more information about specific lessons.
Pippa teaches all styles of music and enters students for exams with the London College of Music or The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, depending on which style they study. She has achieved a 100% pass rate with students entering board exams and has also enjoyed working with many students who've preferred a more relaxed, exam free approach to learning. Each student receives an individual program of study determined by a mutually agreed plan of 'Aims and Objectives' discussed in the first few lessons, which is followed up by regular (informal) 'Achievement Reports'.
